Dental Crowns in Parramatta

Dental crowns are popular restorations that protect decayed, damaged or cracked teeth, helping to improve or enhance the cosmetic value of your teeth. A tooth crown stabilizes your weakened tooth so that patients can continue eating, chewing, and speaking without pain. Dental crowns cover the complete tooth, all the way down to the gum line.

Apart from replacing missing teeth, dental crowns also help correct common cosmetic issues, such as correcting gummy smiles and replacing amalgam/silver fillings. Painfree Dentistry offers the latest 3-D dental technology called CEREC Crowns—where patients can watch their dental crown be fabricated the same day.

Dental crowns help protect the remaining tooth structure from further decay and infection. This is because the tooth crown is designed to fit tightly around the margin of the tooth where the tooth meets the gum, sealing out bacteria. A well-made dental crown will restore the overall shape of the tooth and can often improve on its original appearance.

What Is the Dental Crown Procedure?

mother and daughter with dental crowns in sydneyOnce you have had a consultation with Dr Alam, we will prepare your tooth.

The first thing we do is remove any infection or tooth decay under local anaesthesia. We then prepare the tooth for the dental crown using special dental tools. While we make the tooth ready, we also take an impression of your teeth that we send to our dental lab to fabricate your new dental crown.

While we wait for your customised tooth crown to be ready, we will fit you with a temporary crown to protect it.

During your next visit, Dr Alam will bond your new dental crown to your tooth and ensure that it fits correctly and is shaded to blend with your smile.
