An off-putting thought for those considering orthodontic treatment is the length of time you’re required to wear braces during treatment.

This can range from one to three years, depending on the braces you decide on.

What Is Six Months Smiles Treatment?

Six Month Smiles are discreet braces that use very thin, tooth-coloured wires that blend with your smile.

This popular orthodontic method gradually moves your teeth with low force, making this a generally effective and reliable option with minimal discomfort. Six Month Smiles uses leading-edge dental technology to manoeuvre your teeth quickly and comfortably.

Nickel-titanium wires focus on teeth that show when you smile rather than concentrating only on your bite's position. Six Month Smiles can be used to treat many orthodontic issues, such as over or underbite, protrusion, gaps or crowding.

The Outstanding Benefits of Six Month Smiles

This quick and efficient orthodontic treatment offers several advantages. Here's what you should know.
Quicker Treatment Time
Six Month Smiles offers significantly shorter treatment times than other orthodontic options. You'll finish in a matter of months, not years.
Excellent Discretion
Six Month Smiles uses clear brackets and wires that are hardly noticeable, so no one will recognise your orthodontic treatment.
Cost Effective
Shorter treatment times typically mean a lower cost for your budget.

How Does Six Months Smiles Work?

During your initial visit with Painfree Dentistry, your dentist will perform a thorough examination by taking photographs and digital x-rays of your smile.

We will fit you with Six Month Smiles, which are barely noticeable in most cases unless you are up close. The treatment time is a fraction of traditional methods. Patients typically see us once a month to monitor their progress and make adjustments as needed.

Although patients often experience some discomfort at the beginning of the treatment, as time progresses, their teeth will adapt to the pressure, and patients should experience very little family after six month smiles in sydneypain. Over-the-counter medicines such as Ibuprofen or paracetamol are often sufficient to deal with any discomfort you experience during the early stages of treatment.

Some patients may find that their speech can be affected a few days after their braces are fitted, but this is temporary. After your treatment is complete, you will need to wear a retainer to prevent your teeth from moving back to their former position.

Your Parramatta orthodontic dentist will assign you a removable retainer to wear at night, or you can opt to have a permanent bond fitted on the back surface of your teeth.
