Invisalign® is one of our most popular orthodontic treatments for adults and teens because it straightens your teeth without requiring you to wear braces! Here's what you should know.

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign in Parramatta uses clear, BPA-free plastic aligners to gently move teeth instead of brackets and wires. We customise your aligners for your smile based on a treatment plan created by one of our dentists.

To achieve your desired results, you'll wear each series of aligners for one to three weeks according to your treatment plan, at least 20 to 22 hours per day. Every patient's needs are unique, but most patients finish treatment with Invisalign in 10 to 18 months.

What Are the Advantages of Invisalign?

Invisalign provides several clear advantages over traditional braces that our patients love:

  • Discretion—Since aligners are clear, they're virtually invisible.
  • Hygiene—You can remove your aligners for easy and comfortable daily brushing and flossing.
  • Freedom—You don't have to change your diet since you can remove your aligners for meals.
  • Comfort—Clear aligners fit snugly and are smooth. They're more comfortable than wires and brackets that can tear and poke delicate gum tissues.

Is Invisalign Right for Me?

While Invisalign works well for most patients, it cannot correct complex bite concerns. The best way to determine if clear aligners will help you reach your smile goals is to book an evaluation with one of our dentists. They will gather thorough information about your smile with photos, x-rays, an exam, and 3-D imaging to determine if Invisalign is your best treatment option.

  1. The initial evaluation—Here, we'll determine if Invisalign is right for you and create your treatment plan if you proceed.
  2. Starting aligners—Next, you'll receive your custom aligners from Invisalign and wear them for 20 to 22 hours daily.
  3. Retention—After you complete treatment with Invisalign, you'll wear retainers at night while you sleep for a lifetime to ensure tooth alignment.
